hey! you made me look at the godaddy homepage, shame on you!

I’m still shaking with fear of being hard-sold to buy a million intrusive ads

    Bullseye!

For a company whose main product is the web, you’d think they’d know how to make a good website. It is way too busy to try to find anything on GoDaddy.

I cannot stand GoDaddy. Had to use it for a client once (they had already paid for hosting through it) and the only way I could get to the control panel was round about and convoluted. Will never touch GoDaddy again.

    Hahaha nice one Brad.

Took me around 10 minutes to spot Waldo. That’s one hell of a mess site.

Hard to spot anything with Danica Patrick on the same web page.

I found Waldo in less than a minute. It was pretty dang easy to find a bright red little person on a all white website. Some of you people are really stupid, specially the one than took 10 mins. to stop him. Seriously.  -.-

Their website used to be much worse than it currently is.  They have over the past year or so reduced the amount of crap on their site…  Amazing feats of science…

    Guess Milena doesn’t get it.

ROTFL! I just had this problem at my insurance co’s website. I went to enter new info, could NOT find where to log in, and said ‘Fu** it, I’ll call.’  It should not be that hard to find things!

Exactly the reason I stopped using GoDaddy two years ago. It takes too much time to find what you need, even when logged in.

For a moment I was like, huh?
But really, GoDaddy has one of the most complicated design, I’d prefer google the site rather click the navigation bar.

    smile, I spot Waldo though.

Who cares about Waldo, I’m more interested in the Godaddy girl in the banner. :p

Interesting idea, although I can’t say I particularly agree with it. Godaddy offers a lot of services, and when you offer that much it’s hard not to end up with a cluttered homepage. Except everything you need is right up in the navigation bar, and it’s much simpler to do stuff with their site than with, say, NetworkSolutions.

@Andrew: GoDaddy doesn’t have to cut out the information they provide on their homepage, if we find it is overload with information, perhaps the problem lies with the design of the site. Honestly, since I am one of the GoDaddy customer, they don’t really provide a clean way for us to perceive how to navigate.

GoDaddy’s site is built in order to maximize sales (even b accident) and make it hard for customers to file support requests (answering to which cost money), so they actually do a hell of a job, from their perspective.

As for being a GoDaddy customer, you guys are crazy! smile))

Ha. For so long I have HATED how hard it is to find anything on godaddy.com or in the control panels. This has always led me to tell clients to use Media Temple or Modwest for hosting.

Looks like a million other sites that are littered with every possible web extension and doo-dad (pun intented).  mycokerewards.com formerly was a mindnumbing disaster of a web site - now it is just ugly and hard to use not also a resource hog and epileptic siezure waiting to happen.

BTW - When did it become OK to have input boxes the size of mini-chicklets with grayed out 5-point fonts that you have to look all over creation to find out how to enter your user name and password.  We’re not all 24 years old you know!!!!

I use GoDaddy all the time, but only to purchase domains. They still are the cheapest around. But GoDaddy should have stayed with domains only, this bloatware is certainly overwhelming.

But hey, they’re for sale at a cool $1 Trillion. Can’t hate too much.
