I feel the same way when I hear someone say “I don’t really know what my nephew does, but it’s something with computers!” I’m sure my own family members have said that about me before!
Ha! Funny stuff Brad. I guess it’s true too. Most of the best web designers are probably somebody’s nephew too! I wonder how many times a professional web designers has scoffed when the aunt or uncle of say Jason Santa Maria, Elliot Jay Stocks or Brad Colbow have told them that their nephew designs websites too
and for people who don’t get it, the web designers are angry at brad’s uncle because when he heard them say they were web designers, he said “ah! my nephew designs sites” and they assumed his nephew was very young and most likely didn’t really design websites…basically they thought the uncle was saying that it requires the skill of a 10-15 year old to design websites, thus belittling them as professional designers.
The funny thing is, his nephew is a brad…and does it for a living and is also well respected.
Hope my long winded explanation cleared it up for people :/
